This blog will start on 16 October 2009

Between 18 October and 2 November we are six Swedish birdwatchers that will visit Yemen and Socotra for birding and seawatching as well as culture events. We will be birding for eight full days in Yemen and seven full days on Socotra. We will also undertake a full day pelagic trip to the island J. Sabuniah east of Socotra, hoping to see and photograph seabirds and cetaceans. A great happening will be a nocturnal trip to the only known breeding site of Jouanin's Petrel along with a guide from the Socotra Governance and Biodiversity Project.
This is an independent tour, which has been planned together with Yousuf Mohageb, the director of Arabian Eco-tours in Sana'a.
We will do our best trying to update sightings, photos and nice happenings on daily basis, but it is of course depending on the Internet access at each hotel on our way.
